I believe that you are the expert of your story and are capable of creating a path that feels right for you.

Therapy is a journey of self exploration and discovery; it has the ability to shift how you see the world and your position in the world. Therapy can give you an ability to not only understand yourself more but understand other people as well. With a strong therapeutic connection between the two of us, you can feel empowered and capable of doing more than you ever imagined.

Specialties:

  • BIPOC
  • Anxiety
  • Depression
  • Relationship Issues
  • LGBT and Queer

I specialize in working with BIPOC individuals, Black women, queer and trans people, as well as college-aged students and teens. Specifically, I am interested in working to address struggles with anxiety and depression as well as assist those tackling life events and transitions.

My therapeutic approach is rooted in the belief that your potential for meaning making depends on self empowerment. I show up genuinely in order to encourage authenticity, vulnerability, and self-exploration. My goal is to act as a mirror for you to see the things that may be unknowingly impacting your lives and restricting your growth and healing. I draw from Existential therapy, Adlerian, CBT as well as person-centered therapy. These approaches pull from past experiences and highlight consistent patterns that prevent you from accomplishing your goals.

I transitioned to a career in mental health after working in higher education for 5 years. I now have a Master of Arts in Counseling with a specialization in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and am also a National Certified Counselor through the NBCC.
