I believe therapy helps to challenge societal norms and empowers you to reconsider how you want to interact with the world around you.

I have always been fascinated by human consciousness and personal development.  I began examining the world through a spiritual lens and soon found myself studying philosophy. I see spirituality as an individual's understanding of how it is that they connect with the universe and how they honor that connection. I believe spirituality is often overlooked by many clinicians as a resource for meaning-making and healing.

I work with a wide range of clients, but I have a strong interest in working with clients who identify as LGBTQ+. I also find working with clients who are maneuvering through (and into) identity issues to be very rewarding.

I value authenticity and client autonomy.  I like to draw from existential, postmodern, and behavioral theories as a means of helping clients develop a sense of self and meaning.  I encourage clients to take advantage of their autonomy in our sessions to ground themselves and take up space so that they might then feel confident enough to bring that into their everyday life.  Once a secure sense of self is established, a door opens to skill building and further personal development.

I possess a masters's degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Adler University and a certification as a spiritual yoga teacher. I also have an extensive history with the arts which influences my work with clients in some ways.  I find humor - when it’s used appropriately - to be a fantastic tool for coping, uncovering resiliency, and deepening healing.  The improv adage of “Yes, and…” is an approach I hope to encourage in sessions with my clients as we explore and reflect together.
