Therapy is about empowering clients to take hold of the reins to their own healing and self-discovery.

Some clients come to therapy with specific goals they want to achieve while others simply seek a compassionate ear to listen or are unsure of exactly why they want to be in this space. Regardless, I strive to create a sanctuary in which clients can explore their thoughts, emotions, and experiences in a safe and supportive environment. I work in partnership with my clients to build resilience, discover strengths, and navigate life's challenges with newfound clarity and confidence.

Specialties:

  • Anxiety
  • OCD / Specific phobias
  • Trauma & PTSD
  • Sexual Issues
  • Women's issues

  • Self-Esteem

I work with adults across the lifespan. I also enjoy working with adolescents as well as couples and those within the LGBTQ+ communities.

Central to my therapeutic process are principles of non-judgment, collaboration, and respect for autonomy, focusing on meeting clients wherever they are in their journey and working collaboratively with them to foster meaningful change and enhance overall well-being.

I have a core belief that all individuals should feel empowered and respected with no power differentials between the clinician and client. As such, my therapeutic orientation is deeply rooted in feminist theory and advocating for equality within the therapeutic relationship. I strive to create a  supportive environment where clients can explore their identities, navigate societal expectations, and challenge traditional norms related to social, cultural, and gender roles. In addition to feminist theory, I draw from a diverse range of evidence-based modalities including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP). I also highly value mindfulness and somatic practices and see this as a way to aid clients in regulating their bodies to work through trauma and stress. I see each modality as a valuable tool, allowing me to tailor my approach to meet the unique needs and preferences of each client.

I earned my MA in Clinical Counseling from Northwestern University. I have experience within PHP and IOP programs as well as having spent extensive time with the PATH crisis hotline. Additionally, I am a member of KPACT, gaining body/sex positivity competency as a therapist for kink, polyamorous, and LGBTQ+ communities.
