Therapy is where we process experiences and develop resilience, taking the elements of life that have us feeling stuck, unlocking them to reach our full potential.
My job as the listener can vary widely from session to session; it often involves exploring new coping strategies, uncovering underlying emotions, processing present challenges within the context of past events, and building skills to handle situations that have been difficult to manage. The goal is to feel understood and challenged, growing through these challenges and develop new ways to take on new stressors that lie ahead.

I work with a wide array of clients from all demographics and backgrounds. I have experience working with adults as well as older adolescents.
I consider myself an integrative therapist – meeting my clients where they are and pulling from approaches that uniquely fit them. Some clients seek a solution to the exact problem they are dealing with today and are less concerned with larger patterns. Others want to know more about the underlying meaning of a specific life event, and I may encourage them to solve the problem in front of them first. I see my role as someone who bridges these perspectives: addressing today’s problems while gaining perspective into how immediate issues can provide insight to larger themes and life patterns.
I received my master’s degree from Northwestern University. In addition to my clinical work, I also have over 7 years of experience with the University of Chicago, working in their Student Disability Services Department as well as the University Department of Safety and Security assisting victims and witnesses of crimes. I’ve been interviewed on the “How I Therapist” podcast, and was considered an expert on campus at the University of Chicago on de-escalation strategies.
